At approximately 3:a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, City of Poughkeepsie 911 received multiple calls reporting gunshots fired in the area of North Clinton Street and Mansion Street.
Arriving officers located a male victim suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds, police said. The victim was treated at the scene by City of Poughkeepsie Firefighters and Mobil Life EMS and transported to a local hospital.
Sometime later, the victim was pronounced dead.
The Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office was notified and will conduct an autopsy/investigation to determine the cause of death.
The City of Poughkeepsie Police were assisted by Town of Poughkeepsie Police, Dutchess County Sheriff’s office and the New York State Police.
